    silicone.
they sell a silicone type caulk. you can get it at your local hardware store.

    good luck!

Silicone is correct-you can get it at Lowe’s or Home Depot–it’s also known as waterproof caulk. Only problem is it won’t hold unless it’s kept dry for at least a couple of hours. Is there some way you can stop the link temporarily or block it from the inside until the caulk dries.

There is a glue and patch to fix swimming pool underwater leaks.
There is also a product that you paint on, and it will cure underwater.

When I was a kid, our house was in the midle of nowhere two miles up a dirt road and we had a spring that fed our wood water tank. It was basicaly a huge barrel.

What we used to do was plug the gaps between the slats from the inside with a flat tipped screw driver and the moss that was growing on the inside of the tank.

trying to seal it from the outside my be a challenge.

    Some adhesives may be unhealthy.

you didn’t say what kind of tank. Plastic, metal, wood?

You may want to try epoxy putty. Either way, it’s going to be tricky.

None. Glue Won’t Do The Trick.
