oh boy. ok-2 years ago i replaced a 3 gallon with a 6 gallon in my 5th wheel. $650, and my husband put it in. house size ones are $200-500. i would suggest buying new-and go to a reputable dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!!a dealer sho has been around for some time.

Hot water heaters cost from $200-$400 in this area..You should look at the label on your present one..& try to get one the same size & dimensions, for ease of installation..Not a hard job..takes 2 persons..the old one is probably limed up & heavy..even after it is emty. Also you should check the BTU output on the label..not all hot water heaters are born equal..You’ll need a little help, be certain you have the gas shut off, before you start.

I believe that you can get a 50 gal water heater for around 300. They will also have an installation kit that will aid with the install. They are heavy, so having some help would be a good idea. Do you know how to sweat pipe?

There are also gas and electric models, if you use gas be sure to check for leaks when you hook up the line.
