how do i find my hot water heater?

i cannot find my hot water heater in my modular home. i have looke for a normal hot water tank but cannot find. we have cold water running but no hot water. if for some reason i have the tankless system how do i know where it is and how to find it. i have looked in all my access panels and no luck. also the only tank that their is, is the main water tank.

Examine the exterior of your unit, and look for a panel that looks screwed or bolted on; it will typically be toward the back end or on the “back side” of your home (opposite from your front door).
follow all water lines back to where there is electric running to a unit. Or gas.
Sometimes they will put them in a closet behind a removable panel. It should be close to where the main water line comes into the house. My guess would be that it is in or near the bath room probably in a closet.
It is usually next to the furnace. If you have an on demand heater, it will be a small box about 2′x2′x6′.
My son lived in a modular home and his heater was on the outside of the place.
There was no way to get to it from inside since it was covered with paneling and furniture was in front of it. It took him quite a while to find it.
